Aidas Limited Edition Mammoth Tusk

LE Series Stereo MC Phono Cartridge

Introducing the Limited-Edition Series: Exclusive Craftsmanship and Innovation Aidas Cartridges laboratory is pushing the boundaries of design and materials, resulting in the creation of our exclusive Limited-Edition series. These exceptional cartridges, produced in extremely limited quantities (1 to 10 pieces), showcase a fusion of rare materials and innovative engineering.

In our quest for the perfect sound, we experiment with various combinations of bodies and coils, crafting unique and exceptional products for discerning audiophiles.

Occasionally, we release limited edition cartridges crafted from exotic materials and paired with Gold / Silver - plated coils. These exclusive offerings elevate the listening experience to new heights and are a true testament to Aidas Cartridges' commitment to excellence and innovation.

The Limited-Edition series by Aidas Cartridges is a rare opportunity for audiophiles to indulge in the art of sound with distinctive design and exceptional materials, also capturing the essence of analog audio perfection.

The top-of-the-line Mammoth Gold cartridge has been enhanced. Ten pieces of ultra-pure and white mammoth tusk material have been selected for these unique cartridges. The magnetic system has been upgraded with a larger alnico5 magnet, resulting in more stable and thicker magnetic fields in the gap. For the stylus, Aidas has opted for the Ogura Line Contact this time. Patented in 1978 in Japan by inventor Junshiro Ogura, the Line Contact stylus is shaped to allow maximum vertical contact with the groove walls while maintaining minimal front-to-back contact.

Line Contact styluses can make slightly worn records sound almost pristine. These small but significant improvements elevate the sonic performance of the limited edition Mammoth Gold LE cartridge to new heights, making it a truly desirable audiophile collector's item.

Mammoth Tusk Body

Aidas Baby Mammoth and Aidas Mammoth Gold cartridges are the newest and most advanced ones in Aidas line. The body of Aidas Mammoth cartridges is made of 21,000-yearold Siberian Woolly Mammoth tusk.

Mammoth tusk is the best and most unique material Aidas could ever find for his top cartridges. According to his experimental data, as it has very unique properties sound-wise, it is better than true-stone, exotic wood or light metals. It was even compared to other types of bone / horn (deer) material and is far more superior. It is super strong and damps unwanted vibrations perfectly. Compared to deer or buffalo horn material Mammoth is denser - no air bubbles and fewer impurities. Purest possible. Rare and expensive. But still obtainable.

Every Mammoth cartridge body is a precision machined piece of art handmade of various parts of Mammoth tusk (pics below). Bodies may have:

• hairline cracks (glued, stabilised and polished);
• color differences;
• dark grooves.

All above is considered distinctive and original aesthetic features of each cartridge and therefore there are no 2 uniform Mammoth cartridge bodies – they are all unique.
